Delete your NoGuri account

You can delete your NoGuri account and the personal data attached to it yourself, from inside the app. It takes effect the moment you confirm, and it cannot be undone.

Delete it in the app

1. Open NoGuri and tap Settings in the bottom bar.
2. Scroll to the bottom of Settings and tap Delete account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete.

There is no waiting period and no grace period — confirming runs the deletion on our server straight away.

If you can no longer open the app

Write to us from the email address you signed in with and ask for your account to be deleted. We will check that the address matches the account, delete it without undue delay, and reply to confirm. Our address is contact@noguri.app

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in credentials — your email address and any Google sign-in link.
• Your profile: nickname, app settings and activity counts.
• The link between you and everything you marked, confirmed or reported. It is erased, not hidden.

What stays, and for how long

• Marks you created stay on the map with no author attached. They are clean-air information other people rely on, so they become anonymous community data rather than disappearing. Transient marks still expire on their own — active smoke after about 6 hours, cigarette butts after about 3 days.
• Cached walking routes are stored against coordinates rounded to roughly 11 metres, are never linked to an account, and are deleted after 30 days.
• Where the law requires a record to be kept, it is kept for the period the law prescribes.

Used NoGuri without an account?

Then there is nothing on our server to delete — a guest has no account and no session. Marks you saved as a guest live on your device only: remove them in Settings, under "Delete marks saved on this device", or uninstall the app.
